Gig-economy startup Getaguard, which had been focussed on the manned security industry in the UK and connecting SIA Licensed guards with businesses, is now taking on the challenge of solving the HGV driver crisis in the UK.
Having gone to the local supermarket only to find they weren't selling any food, it was clear to the team that this was a pressing problem that needed solving - FAST.
The team created a website for HGV Driver Jobs within an evening and got started. By the end of the week, job applications were coming in for roles which they could then match up with existing trucking companies for a fee. They then got some blog coverage from press outlets such as this.
